The United Arab Emirates is not a party to the Hague Convention as of 5 October 1961 regarding simplified legalization, therefore it is necessary to implement full consular legalization in order to give legal force to documents within the territory of the UAE.

The consular legalization of documents for the United Arab Emirates involves a multi-stage procedure, covering the legalization of documents on the part of the Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in the UAE Embassy in Moscow

Standard legalization of documents for the UAEis carried out over 12-13 days. The cost of this procedure amounts to 5,000 roubles per  document.

Urgent legalization for the UAE takes 6-7 working days. In such a case, the cost of legalization amounts to 8,500 roubles per  document.

The price of legalization is indicative without the cost of a certified translation of a document and consular fee from the UAE Embassy. The price of translation depends on the document type: if you require the legalization of a birth certificate or diploma, the cost of a certified translation is fixed at 900 roubles when translating into English, and 1,200 roubles when translating into Arabic. Nevertheless, if you should require the legalization of a letter of attorney, the price of the translation will depend on the text volume, you will be able to find out the exact cost of a certified translation of such a document from our company managers.

The consular fee from the UAE Embassy depends on the type of document. For the legalization of a non-commercial document (personal documents, non-commercial letters of attorney, licenses, certificates of origin, certificates of conformity, etc.), the Embassy charges a fee in the amount of 4,500 roubles.

The legalization of commercial documents, such as licenses, invoices and certificates for products is carried out in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.The implementation period for legalization in the CCI is 1-2 working days, the cost amounts to 4,000 roubles per document.

The legalization of documents concerning education

In terms of the legalization of a diploma of higher education or a diploma concerning academic distinction, the Embassy of the UAE requires additional confirmation of the document's authenticity. This can be implemented in two ways. In the first instance, it is possible to place an apostille on the original diploma. This procedure takes 2-3 months, the cost is 5,200 roubles per document. Secondly, instead of apostilization of the diploma, you may be able to obtain an archival record from your institute of higher education, which will acknowledge that you have indeed graduated from the institution in question. A certificate should be provided at the time of submission of documents to the Embassy.

The legalization of commercial invoices and certificates of origin

The UAE Embassy will legalize certificates of origin only under the condition of simultaneous legalization of the commercial invoice to the corresponding product. The consular fee for the legalization of certificates of origin is 4,500 roubles. The consular fee for the legalization of invoices depends on the price of the invoice.
